IDD 300- Top Gun

This week I looked at the interface to Top Gun. The menu is a very basic, yet easy to navigate. The background is a close up of a wing of a fighter plane. This image takes up a good portion of the screen. To the right of this image is a darkened silhouette of another fighter plane in the distance. There is no background sound.

On the left of the screen there are three menu option buttons. Play, Setup and Scene Selection are all written on pilot’s wings pin. They are a grayish color until the mouse rolls over it, then they become a golden color.

On the right hand side of the screen is a picture of two of the main characters of the film, portrayed by Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis Above them is the title logo of the film, Top Gun.
This DVD does not have any special features included; however a newly released version has many new features. Due to the lack of interactivity or even sound, I found this DVD menu kind of boring. It was easy to use though.
