IDD 300- Blue Collar Comedy Tour

This week I chose to watch the Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie. I’ve never seen the TV show or the movie so I was not sure what to expect.

The menu screen is a still picture of the four comedians standing on the stoop outside of a bar. The title is slanted and to the left of the men. There are four different options to choose from when making a selection. Play movie. Scene Selection, Cast & Crew, and Languages are the options to either play the movie or bring the viewer to a different menu. There is a country twang soundtrack that plays for thirty seconds during the main menu. After that the movie begins to play, even if you don’t choose an option. Selecting scene selection brings up an entirely new menu interface. The background is an up close picture of a road. The scene selections are in the shape of highway signs while the option to move between pages of scene selections is done in a road side sign fashion.

The Cast and Crew page is a simple layout with the four men as the background sitting on bar stools and a list of men on the sidebar which can be clicked and that takes you to a biography on that person.

The last menu page is languages. The background is a view looking outside of a car and into a rearview mirror.

Overall I thought this DVD interface was easy to navigate. All the pages seemed to fit the same theme relating to the comedy tour.
