IDD 250

This week’s chapter, 'Examples and Interviews', Mark Stephen Meadows interviews people from different forms of interactive narrative. He interviews people from a mass media of backgrounds including comic, television, Flash animation, and the internet. Everything from a “simple” sequential comic book to a website with over one hundred pages help to make up interactive narratives. Almost all of the interviewees discussed the different perspectives in which their work would be viewed.
I think the most complex of the interactive narrative forms is the one Microsoft did with the movie, A.I. I personally was not a fan of the movie. But the idea for this, “The Beast” is very ingenious. Phone calls, faxes, and hidden web pages were all used to provide clues in solving a mystery. All in all interactive narratives are used in our daily lives through many different media forms.
